Our Mayan naturalist guide will take you to the Sittee River where you will go on a bird watching boat trip along the river. The mangroves located at the mouth of this river are the tallest ever reported for the Caribbean region and among the tallest anywhere in the entire Neo-tropics. Large marine and freshwater crocodiles and manatees inhabit the river and sightings are very common. Iguanas can be seen sunbathing on the branches of trees hanging over the river. Bird watchers will be thrilled by the variety of airborne wildlife like Flycatchers, Egrets, Kingfisher, Toucans, Parrots and Herons.
